Sliding Doors or Hinged Door Wardrobes?

Picking out the perfect door is not an easy task, especially when there is an ongoing debate about the merits of two key types, hinged and sliding doors. Your personal preference may tip your opinion in favor of one, but you must consider the pros and cons of sticking with that option before coming to a conclusion.

Hinged Door Wardrobes

A more traditional option, hinged door closets have their advantages and disadvantages, but in general, are a good choice in many cases. One of the main advantages of these types of closets is that they have a higher degree of visibility. When the doors of a hinged door closet are open, you can see a full view of the contents. This makes it quicker and easier for you to choose what to wear in the morning!

Another advantage is that the back of their doors can be used to hang full body mirrors or extra storage space. These closets can also be cut to fit sloping ceilings and stairs, and they can be installed in corners because they can be opened at any angle. A small drawback may be that sometimes the doors can't handle the weight of a heavy mirror, although replacing damaged hinges is simple as they are readily available and easy to install.

The Glass hinged door has an aluminum frame and it is available with a single glazed panel, two glazed panels, and one or two wood panels. This solution shows four units with a single glazed panel in fabric screen printed glass, creating the right transparency to contain in a discrete way. This classic-looking option is best suited for larger rooms with plenty of space for door operation and rooms with a more traditional aesthetic

Sliding Door Wardrobes

Sliding door closets are a more modern storage solution and a great option for a wide range of room types. Their biggest advantage is that they don't need much space in front of them, as their doors can slide left and right. This allows them to work properly at the end of the bed, for example.

Sliding door closets also tend to be larger, providing more space for your belongings, and they can be more stable because they don't rely on hinges to support the doors. Plus, if you choose a sliding door wardrobe with a mirror, it can make your room feel bigger! A small disadvantage of sliding door closets is that you can't see inside at once, but, since the doors slide easily, this hardly causes any problems. These closets work best in small or tight spaces and in more modern homes.
